Robbed of a future
It is disheartening to watch the world break one technological milestone after another, reaching the moon and the stars beyond while we sit around struggling to even properly educate all or even most of our people. As a student residing in a small, rural district in Sindh (Matiari), I have witnessed a long list of issues eating away at our country’s education system. One of the most prevalent issues is the dearth of qualified teaching staff, particularly in private-sector schools.
This stems from the rampant induction of inexperienced and unqualified teachers, depriving students of quality education and hindering their academic and professional aspirations. It is imperative for the education authorities to ensure the students lucky enough to be in school are not wasting their time, get the education they deserve, and have an actual shot at a successful future.
