WANA: The Wana Welfare Association (WAWA), a private organisation providing shelter to orphans in Lower South Waziristan district, organised an Eid Milan party at Ummah Children Academy in Wana on Sunday.
A large number of Wawa General Council members participated in the event. On the occasion, the attendees enjoyed a traditional dance (Attanr) performed by Wawa General Council members. Organisers also arranged traditional sports competitions, including the Waziri game (Khasai), tug-of-war, and volleyball.
Food and beverages were also arranged for all the participants at the party. Speaking on the occasion, Wawa president Rahmat Ullah, general secretary Jalal Wazir, and Owais Wazir expressed their satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of the members in the Eid Milan Party. They highlighted the entertainment provided by traditional and cultural games during the event.
Rahmat Ullah Wazir mentioned that Wawa organised the Eid Milan party annually, with the members eagerly participating in it each year.Jalal Wazir shared that approximately 700 orphan students were currently enrolled in Ummah Children Academy, Wana.
