Notification of ‘Dance for Education’ cancelled
Parents has expressed concern regarding the notification as being against Islamic values

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Education has canceled the notification of “Dance for Education” in educational institutions after a strong reaction from parents and reservations from some higher authorities.
It should be noted that the International Organization for Education, UNESCO, had supported the organisation of dance competitions in educational institutions. A notification was issued to hold a dance competition.
According to the notification, dance videos were to be shared on social media. However, parents had expressed concern regarding the notification as being against Islamic values.
