KARACHI: World Junior Champion Hamza Khan is set to play PSA World Squash Championships that is to be held in Cairo, Egypt, from May 9-18. Hamza, ranked 180, has secured entry through PSA Invitee Place, which is allocated to the World Junior Champion. He is the only player from Pakistan playing this prestigious event in which the world’s top 57 players are competing.

However, Hamza’s performance in the PSA circuit since his World Junior Title has not been above par as he played four PSA international events and did not win any. He lost in the quarterfinals in the $20,000 London Open, finished in last 24 in the $9000 Northern Joe Cup, lost in the quarters in the $6000 Sutton Coldfield, and reached the semifinals in the $9000 Squash Inspire.
