Rabia sets new national record in 10m air pistol event

KARACHI: Navy’s Rabia Kabir created a new national record on the first day of the 31st National Shooting Championship at PN shooting ranges here on Sunday.

Rabia set a new record with the score of 243.6 and won gold medal in the individual category of 10m Air Pistol event for women. Army’s Kishmala Talat took silver medal with the score of 238.1 and Navy’s Rasam Gul claimed bronze medal with the score of 212.0

In the individual category of 50m Prone Rifle event for women, Navy’s Ayesha Javed claimed gold medal with the score of 611.4 points. Navy’s Sara Saleem took silver medal with the score of 610 and Army’s Bushra won bronze medal with the score of 603.9 points.

In the team category of the said event, Navy took gold with the score of 1821.7 points and Wapda won silver medal with the score of 1748.9 points while Sindh took bronze medal with the score of 1643.9 points.

At the end of the day one, Navy topped the medal table with three gold, one silver, and one bronze medal while Army with one silver and one bronze are on second position. Wapda with one silver and Sindh with one bronze medal are on third and fourth positions, respectively, while PAF, Punjab, and Pakistan Police have not won any medal yet.
