SJC takes up reference against Mazahar on 29th

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) will meet on February 29 to consider the complaints of misconduct against resigned top court judge Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa will preside over SJC meeting where in proceedings will be initiated on reference against former judge Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi. The proceedings was deferred being the case against retired judges pending. However, Supreme Court (SC) remarked in short decision of proceedings against retired judges can be launched against the judge who is retired after reference is filed.
