Teenage girl murdered after rape in Korangi
Postmortem findings suggested that the teenager was subjected to anal and vaginal sexual violence
Police have registered a case against unidentified suspects for killing a teenage girl after subjecting her to rape in Karachi.
The case of the girl’s rape and murder after abduction was registered at the Korangi Industrial Area police station on the complaint of her father. According to the complainant, his 13-year-old daughter was at home in Bilal Colony with her siblings when his wife went outside to buy vegetables. When the wife returned, she found the girl strangled to death.
Police said the body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where an autopsy was carried out. According to Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed, the girl was declared dead-on-arrival. Her postmortem findings suggested that she was subjected to anal & vaginal sexual violence.
The surgeon said the cause of death was asphyxia due to constriction of neck as in strangulation. Samples have been collected for chemical analysis, semen serology and DNA. Police said they are investigating the case from different angles.
