LAHORE:Partly cloudy and dry weather was observed in the city here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a westerly wave was present over south/southwestern parts of Balochistan. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country, while very cold and cloudy in upper parts.
They added that partly cloudy weather in southern districts of Balochistan with chances of rain-wind/thunderstorm was likely in coastal areas of Makran while light rain-wind/thunderstorm was also expected at isolated places in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas and shallow fog may likely to occur at few places in plain areas of northeast Punjab during morning hours. Monday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped down to -12°C while in Lahore it was 8.3°C and maximum was 21.5°C.
