ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir Monday provided copies of the £190 million reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former premier Imran Khan in the presence of his counsel for his indictment, and also issued permanent arrest warrants for six other accused here.

However, due to absence of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, charges could not be framed in the Toshakhana case, and the court adjourned the hearing till Tuesday (today). The court held hearing of Toshakhana and £190 million reference in Adiala Jail, and directed Bushra Bibi to ensure her presence in the court on Tuesday, January 9.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and Amjad Pervez, Special Prosecutors Irfan Bhola, Sohail Arif and others appeared in the court, while PTI lawyers Shoaib Shaheen and Barrister Umair Niazi filed a plea for exemption from appearance of Bushra Bibi for one day, which was accepted by the court.

NAB, however, submitted in the court details of assets of six accused in the £190 million reference. The court ordered for freezing assets of the accused including Farhat Shahzadi alias Farah Gogi, Mirza Shahzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari and Ziaul Mustafi Naseem.
