Awards distributed among rescuers
LAHORE: The Secretary Emergency Services Department (ESD) congratulated best performing rescuers and officers of all districts of Punjab, and officers of Emergency Services Headquarters.
He distributed awards in an annual ceremony held at Emergency Services Academy. He distributed annual awards to those rescuers who dealt highest number of emergencies in each category which included the best call dispatcher, medical rescuer, fire rescuer, and rescuer driver. The awards recipients included JCO Lahore Asif Akbar, Muhammad Khurram, Abid Hussain, Muhammad Yasin, Muhammad Azam and Ali Hassan. Besides, UN INSARAG certified rescue team, including deputy team leader, PRT Muhammad Ahsan, Dr Ali Imam Syed and Squad Leader Abrar Hassan for leading rescue operations at different sites in Turkiye and providing trainings on UN INSARAG standards to field formations during 2023, were awarded.
