‘Kidnapped’ infant recovered
PESHAWAR: Police on Tuesday recovered an infant who had gone missing from the Hayatabad Medical Complex and arrested two alleged kidnappers, including a woman.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Hayatabad, Nayab Mueez told reporters that the baby of a local couple was kidnapped while the kidnappers left a female child to the parents at the HMC on November 25.
She said the police collected all the evidence, including the CCTV footage, and later arrested two kidnappers Rizwan and a female identified as Mrs Ikram. The cops also recovered the baby from the two kidnappers and later conducted the DNA tests of both the babies to find the missing child.
Officials said that after the DNA reports, the baby was handed over to his parents and a case was lodged against the two kidnappers.
