MSF, minority wing urged to intensify PMLN poll drive
LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), has instructed the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) and the minority wing to intensify their upcoming general election campaign activities nationwide.
She made this directive while chairing a pivotal meeting in Lahore that brought together representatives and workers of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) and minority wing. The meeting was convened in anticipation of the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, 2024.
During the meeting, the performance of MSF and the minority wing was meticulously reviewed, with Maryam expressing satisfaction with their accomplishments.
Participants, echoing her sentiments, underscored the imperative for active youth and minority participation in the upcoming general elections. A unanimous decision was reached to escalate election campaigns nationwide.
The meeting's agenda extended to mobilising youth across all four provinces—Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir—with a collective commitment to progressively enhancing the roles of youth and minorities in the political landscape. Maryam emphasised the pivotal role of youth, labelling them as the country's capital and asserting that their progress is synonymous with the nation's advancement.
She announced that the MSF platform would serve as a launching pad for youth from every corner of the country to actively engage in practical politics. Expressing hope for a transformative era in 2024, she envisioned progress and development for Pakistan under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. She anticipates a rapid pace of economic development in the coming year, Insha'Allah. Maryam said that Nawaz Sharif, in his vision for the general elections, aims to establish youth wings in political activities, recognising the youth as the leaders of the future.
She highlighted the importance of minorities' active participation in election campaigns, emphasising that it would fortify democratic culture.
In a show of gratitude, MSF and the minority wing extended their thanks to Maryam Nawaz Sharif for elevating political opportunities and positions, as well as for the unwavering support of the party leadership.
They pledged to honour the trust placed in them by the party and committed to working as dedicated soldiers in Nawaz Sharif's mission for the development of Pakistan.
The representatives of MSF and the minority wing concluded the meeting by expressing their steadfast commitment to the cause.\
