According to a recent Unicef study, severe water scarcity, exacerbated by climate change, affects 347 million children in South Asia – more than anywhere else in the world. This impacts Pakistani children’s health and education and also strains the country’s industries, agriculture, and economy.

The report also highlights the uneven impact of the climate crisis, with the majority of children without access to safe water living in developing countries.

Governments must improve their approaches to managing water resources and direct funding towards regions without access to potable water.
