Vegetables prices up despite new arrivals
LAHORE :The prices of essential vegetables further increased on the second consecutive week despite the arrival of new seasonal crop has been picked up from fields to markets.
The local crop of various seasonal vegetables of Punjab has also reached the markets, besides the supplies from KP and other parts. But instead of reduction in the prices with arrival of new crop, the rates are further increased.
Similarly, the prices of chicken meat continued increasing trend while it was not sold at official rates anywhere in the City. The price of chicken was further gained by Rs2 per kg, fixed at Rs333-346 per kg, sold at Rs380-400 per kg, and chicken meat by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs502 per kg, and sold at Rs540-1,000 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin new A-grade was fixed at Rs110-115 per kg, B-grade at Rs100-105 per kg, and C-grade at Rs85-90 per kilogram, mixed sold at Rs130-150 per kg, potato sugar-free A-grade declined by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs75-80 per kg, B-Grade fixed at Rs65-70 per kg, C-grade fixed at Rs55-60 per kg, mixed sold at Rs100-120 per kg.
The price of onion A-grade gained by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs122-130 per kg, sold at Rs160-180 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs114-120 per kg, sold at Rs130-140 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at Rs120 per kg.
The price of tomato A-grade reduced by Rs18 per kg, fixed at Rs122-130 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs110-115 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs95-100 per kg, both B&C mixed sold at Rs130-150 per kg.
The price of garlic local was reduced by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs400-415 per kg, sold at Rs500 per kg, and Garlic China gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs590-610 per kg, sold at Rs800 per kg.
The price Ginger Thai reduced by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs400-420 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg, Garlic Indonesia by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs295-305 per kg, sold at Rs450 per kg and ginger China reduced by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs560-580 per kg, sold at Rs800 per kg.
Cucumber Farm increased by Rs13 per kg, fixed at Rs84-88 per kg, sold at Rs120-140 per kg.
Brinjal price was gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed Rs40-43 per kg, sold at Rs60-100 per kg. Bitter gourd price gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 per kg, sold at Rs120-160 per kg.
The price of Spinach farm increased by Rs2 per kg, fixed at Rs38-40 sold at Rs60-70 per kg, spinach local was fixed at Rs53-56 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg.
Zucchini farm at Rs70-75 per kg, sold at Rs100 per kg, and Zucchini long gained by Rs6 per kg, fixed at Rs46-48 per kg, sold at Rs80 per kg.
The price of lemon China increased by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs50-53 per kg, sold at Rs100-160 per kg. Ladyfinger price gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs80-85 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg. Pumpkin price increased by Rs12, fixed at Rs85-90 per kg, sold at Rs150-180 per kg.
Green chili price A-grade gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs76-80 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg, B-grade fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs120 per kg.
Turnip price cut by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs62-65 per kg, sold at Rs80-100 per kg. Fenugreek (Methi) cut by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs86-90 per kg, sold at Rs160-200 per kg.
Pea price was gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs183-190 per kg, sold at Rs200-240 per kg.
The price of different variety of apples was fixed at Rs60-265 per kg, sold at Rs130-400 per kg. The price of Banana A-category gained by Rs5 per dozen, fixed at Rs115-120 per dozen, sold at Rs130-150 per dozen, and B-category fixed at Rs85-90 per dozen, sold at Rs120 per dozen, and C-category fixed at Rs65-70 per dozen, sold at Rs80-100 per dozen.
Pomegranate danaydar price increased by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs335-350 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg, Pomegranate khandahri by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs270-280 per kg, sold at Rs250-400 per kg, Pomegranate bedana unchanged at Rs545-565 per kg, sold at Rs700-1,000.
Guava fixed at Rs70-135 per kg, sold at Rs130-200 per kg. Musami fixed at Rs74-78 per dozen, sold at Rs130-150 per dozen. Fruiter was gained by Rs10 per dozen, fixed at Rs90-120 per dozen, sold at Rs150-200 per dozen. Citrus fruit price fixed at Rs78-82 per dozen, sold at Rs150-160 per dozen.
