Beware of fake phone calls: NAB
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau has taken up the matter with the Cyber Crime Wing of FIA and other intelligence agencies against impersonators making phone calls from different numbers, claiming to be high-ranking NAB officers.
The NAB spokesman said all such calls demanding money were fake and seemed to be an organized campaign to malign the institution and its management. “The NAB has taken up the matter with the Cyber Crime Wing of FIA and other intelligence agencies against the culprits,” the NAB spokesman said, adding that NAB officers did not contact directly as there was a strict standard operating procedure in vogue for communication. He said the general public was informed to be cautious of such calls and immediately report such calls to NAB (KP) PDA Complex Block 3, Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar, or phone no 091-9217095.
