Death row prisoner hanged

A death row prisoner was hanged at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Wednesday.  Prisoner Idrees of Faisalabad was involved in a number of cases of dacoity.

He had killed the father of three kids during a dacoity bid in Faisalabad. The mercy petitions of the prisoner were rejected at all forums following which he was hanged. 

DIES: A 20-year-old girl died in hospital. Nawankot police said the woman seemingly was raped.

The woman was recovered unconsciousness from Jhugian Nagra. She was rushed to hospital where she died.

Police said apparently the woman was a fashionable lady and had consumed liquor in a party. As her condition went critical, rapists threw her in the area. 

BODY FOUND: Body of a 35-year-old man was recovered from Chungi Amrsidhu. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. A police official claimed that the victim was a drug addict.
