To feel like you’re alone is debilitating. Community, on the other hand, is empowering. Sharing experiences to connect can lead to incredible things. And when inspiring professionals, who overcame adversities and learned lessons, join together, they build a stronger community.

Recently, the 28th Ladiesfund Power Dinner featured 28 dynamic individuals for networking and sharing ideas for philanthropic impact for Pakistan. It was an exclusive, small, outdoor event at a private garden venue. Spotted among the guests were Sheema Kermani, Ameena Saiyid, Kamal Azfar, Abdul Kadir Memon, Mona Ovais, Maheen Fatima, Ayesha Jangda, Moneeza Butt, Rukhsana Narejo, Nazli Abid, Shazia Farooqui, Erum Noor and Ladiesfund President Tara Uzra Dawood. Whereas, Syed Muhammad Ali, CEO, JS Energy, was the chief guest and a role model for corporate support of women development in Pakistan. “I was amazed by the gathering of such extraordinary women. Truly a power evening!”

This gathering is the fourth in the 7th year of the power series, under the theme ‘Impact in Pakistan’. The format of this popular series enables all guests to not only meet and interact with the Chief Guest, but have access to each other, while being seated in social bubbles. Powerful alliances, business collaborations, etc. have been formed from this high in demand networking series. Guest lists are published in advance and registrants have the ability to reach out to each other to coordinate to meet and speak at the event. The organisation encourages each attendee to set a meeting with at least 3 other attendees within one week of the gathering to solidify their connection and to work towards collaboration.

Rukshana Narejo, Head of Treasury and Financial Institutions, Sindh Bank, shared “This power event surrounded me with such inspiring people. I feel so energised.”

“The concept of networking to uplift each other and contribute to great social causes is indeed exhilarating,” said Ayesha Ashraf Jangda, Product Development at BankIslami. “I pray that all the goals of the foundation are achieved with success.”
