Hailing  from Sialkot, auditor turned actor, Asim Mehmood was first seen as the winner of Pakistan's famous TV show ‘Hero Bannay ki Tarang’. Later recognised by Humayun Saeed, he was offered his first film ‘Main Hun Shahid Afridi’ to play the character of ‘Deewar e Teen’. From there he started receiving countless offers of commercials and has played different roles in drama serials, telefilms and soaps. Some of his noteworthy drama serials include ‘Ghar Aik Jannat’, ‘Aik Simple Love Kahani’, ‘Qarz’, ‘Babul Ki Duayen Leti Jaa’, ‘Kaffara’, ‘Aao Laut Chalain’, ‘Sun Yaara’, and ‘Takabbur’. Besides ‘Main Hun Shahid Afridi’, Asim has also appeared in two more films - ‘Halla Gulla’, and ‘Balu Mahi’. What is your most memorable drama serials to date?

‘Sun Yara’ and ‘Bharoosa Pyar Tera’.

What do you usually wear in daily life?

Shorts and T-shirt.

What is your favourite thing in your closet right now?

My one shirt but it's not wearable, haha.

Hollywood, Bollywood, Lollywood?

Being a Pakistani actor, Lollywood of course.

Last call that you deliberately didn't attend?

He is one friend who takes not less than an hour on phone.

Annoying habits of most of the actors?

Unnecessary attitude towards anyone.

Extremely possessive about?

My love.

What’s your annoying habit?

Friends say that I don't participate in discussions.

Two things that you don't understand about the industry?

What is the selection criterion of casting actors and when we are going to get rid of formula stories.

What bores you the most?

Staying too much at home after COVID-19 lockdown.

Are you a workaholic or shopaholic?

Workaholic.

Professionalism.

Last time you lied about?

I didn’t tell my family that I was back from Gwadar, even I was, haha.

Any relationship lesson that you have learnt so far?

Don’t rush for things, don’t trust people instantly and don’t keep expectations.

Your fitness formula in your lifestyle?

Watch what you eat and the quantity you eat.

Emotional or practical?

Too emotional.

Which superstars inspire you the most?

Faysal Qureshi and Humayun Saeed.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Many.

What’s the last thing you bought?

Dash board spray (laughs).

Anything that you took for granted and later regretted?

I refused a few offers of dramas that I regretted later.

The last film that made you cry?

‘Kabir Singh’, I am emotional anyway.

You get super uncomfortable when...

In presence of people with unnecessary attitude.

If you could get invisible for a day?

I would go to a corrupt politician’s house and steal all money and gold from his house.

Something you miss about the life you had before becoming an actor?

I miss my friends from Sialkot and roaming around freely without being judged.

What change you have adopted?

With time I got mature.

A rumor that you would wish to spread about yourself?

Any kind of rumour. It will eventually make me famous.

One thing that you think people pretend to be in the industry?

They are the best.

Who would you go to for a relationship advice?

No one.

The best secret keeper in the industry?

Farhan Ali Agha, he is very honest.

How do you like to spend the days when you are off shoot?

Generally, I wind up my pending works.

Three things no one knows about you?

I love sleeping; I am a very good cook and I write also.

First thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Drink hot water.

Restaurant.

Have you ever flirted with a fan?

Hmm... kind of.

What is one thing that always cheers you up when you are upset?

Comedy shows like 'Hasb e Haal'.

What would you be if not an actor?

An auditor.

When you were not an actor, who was your crush?

Juggun Kazim.

What makes you angry the most?

Lying.

Going to past and undo a mistake or going to future and see how your life would be?

I would undo a mistake to make the future better.

Lessons that you have learnt in the industry?

Don't believe everyone's words, don't get into people's appraisal and hard work is the key.
