The ongoing wedding season has already given you a burst of flavours with a number of barbecue items. A recent innovation in the menu, however, has brought a twist in the list of festive cuisines. One such innovation is Turkish Kebab that has left everyone drooling. Its impeccable taste is something to die for! Keeping this in mind, this week You! collaborates with Kausar Ahmed, who shares her edition of ‘Turkish Kebab’ to try at your home. Ahmed is a founder and CEO of ‘Kitchen Crafts’ and owns a food website by the name of ‘Happy Belly World’.

Ingredients

Beef minced meat 1 kg

Bread slices (finely granulated) 4

Egg 1

Cilantro (finely chopped) 1/4 cup

Green chillies (finely chopped) 1-2

Onion (large, finely chopped) 1

Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Paprika 1 tsp

Black pepper 11/2 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Oil (for frying) 1/4 cup

Method

  • In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients with the minced meat.
  • Divide the mixture into medium sized balls and form seekh kebab shapes.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the kebabs in batches on medium low heat.
  • Serve with salad and naan.

Note: To grill, skewer the kebabs onto oiled skewers and grill, or roast till the outside is nicely browned. Baste frequently with oil while grilling.
