Want to add an oomph factor to your outfit and have that perfect makeup look this winter? You! shares some on-trend tips that you can follow...

weddings are all about flaunting exquisite outfits and looking picture perfect. With wedding season in full swing, women are constantly on look out for trends that are fit for a wedding. The fact is that wedding festivities give us all the excuse to conjure up different hair and makeup looks. But the most important yet difficult aspect is to find the perfect formal ensemble. It surely takes a lot of effort to find out what is the latest style, which colour palette to go for, what embellishments to choose and how to go about your makeup. And for that we go through several magazines, browse the internet and roam around the bazaars just to find the perfect design. So, if you want to add an oomph factor to your outfit and have that perfect makeup look just follow these on-trend tips...

All about fabric

This is indeed the trickiest bit - the first thing you want to do is pick out a fabric that flatters your body type and has a great fall to it. And when we talk about any formal occasion, the best fabric to choose is either chiffon or pure silk. The natural fall of chiffon looks stunning on women of all shapes and sizes. Moreover, these days velvet and organza are quite in vogue.

Colour me pretty

After you have decided on the fabric, it is time to choose the colour. Choosing appropriate hues colours according to the season is the most important rule that everyone must follow.

If you are obsessed with pastels, then this season opt for ivory, beige and pale green. If you are not into pastel hues, then go the classy way and choose deep maroon, magenta and emerald green especially if a wedding is around the corner.

Let the embellishments do the talking

The kind of embroideries you choose for your outfit can make all the difference. Some types of embellishments that you can go for include gota work, ari, zaridozi along with diamantes, pearl embellishments and dazzling sequins. You can mix zardozi with pearls and sequins or you can go for an all gota work outfit.

Designer calling

Choosing the right colour combination, style and embellishments can be a difficult task! And this is where our designers step in and save the day. And the good news is that recently, designer Sania Maskatiya has launched her latest winter festive collection 2019, ‘LuLu’. Makeup talk

Now that you have the perfect outfit for an upcoming ‘shaadi’ or formal dinner, it is time for makeup. No look is complete without makeup, so here are some tips that will make you look oh-so-chic...

Barely there: This is one trend that is ruling the runways and fashion scene for quite some time now. However, after Meghan Markle rocked the no makeup look on her wedding, this trend has become all the rage and that too for all the right reasons.

Even brides these days are opting for the all natural look, with subdued foundation, subtle eyes and hints of colour on the cheeks and lips. Achieving this means you should work on perfecting your skin starting with a good exfoliation to get the ultimate makeup canvas.

A good primer and liquid base can help achieve that non-cakey look. Focus on your skin care regime and keep your base as natural as possible. And go for a peachy pink blush for a natural glow. Bid adieu to heavy contouring and say hello to fresh dewy skin.

Glowing skin: The key to achieving flawless, glowing skin is to layer illuminator and highlighter onto the high points of the face creating an other-worldly glow. What you need to do is apply illuminising powders just above your cheekbones and slightly blending it down to the cheeks. Remember to aim for a subtle shimmer that gives an edgy yet chic feel.

Smoke it up: We have seen it on the runway a million times and we just can’t get over the smokey eye trend. For a subtle look, apply black winged eyeliner and use a small shader brush to put on the brown shadow over the whole lid. The key is to stretch a little shadow a long way.

Blend the edges thoroughly with a clean brush for that flawless and seamless finish, then apply a little of your favourite mascara to the upper lashes. If you want a dramatic look, then switch the brown eye shadow with a littery black eye shade and voila you are all set to flaunt those smokey eyes.

Luscious lips: This festive season is all about peachy lips. If you aren’t a fan of peach lip colour then you can go for nude lips or a very light pink colour. Of course you can go bright if you want. Deep red or fuchsia pink looks gorgeous with a pastel outfit.
