Coffee is undeniably one of the most beloved beverages to have ever existed. Nothing beats the aroma of freshly brewed hot cup of coffee and the froth that sits on top, especially in this chilly weather. Did you know that coffee is one of the most instagrammed items, hashtagged over 80 million times? Well, that’s true! And the good news is that recently, the first outlet of international coffee chain, ‘The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’ has been launched in Islamabad by young entrepreneurs Usman Yousuf and Adnan Azam.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company is the oldest and largest coffee and tea retailer in the United States. It specializes in unique ice blended coffees and tea including hot coffee drinks, baked goods, iced tea and packaged products like whole bean coffee and tea leafs. The company has grown to be an international icon and currently has over 1200 stores in 31 countries across the world, and this is the first time it has opened its doors in Pakistan. Moreover, the company has immediate plans of launching next in Olympus Mall, Islamabad, as well as in Packages Mall, Lahore. And in the next five years, they will be opening 30 stores across the country - all owned and operated by the master franchisee to maintain quality and standard.
Now coming back to the launch! The event, handled by Rezz Aly Shah, was a glamorous affair with media personalities and socialites in attendance. The host for the evening was Natasha Hussain and Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz was the chief guest.
At the event, Mayor Aziz said, “It has been a long time since such a big lifestyle brand has launched in Pakistan. I am glad they have chosen Islamabad as their launching pad. It is a truly fantastic store offering a premium experience - a little piece of Los Angeles under the Margallas!”
