No festivity is complete without food. Every year on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha families are gathered together to enjoy the most delectable cuisines prepared perfectly for the event. Meat lovers especially find this Eid fascinating as they get to eat meaty dishes like kebabs, mutton curries, lamb chops etc. Keeping this in mind, You! has collaborated with food advisor, designer and culinary expert, exc. chef Gulzar Hussain, who shares the recipe of Hunter Beef to make your Eid more delicious. I N G R E D I E N T SHunter Beef

Beef    2 kg piece

Red chilli paste         4 tbsps

White vinegar 1 cup

Dark soya sauce       1 cup

Garlic cloves   10-12

Black pepper (ground)         11/2 tbsp

Butter 1/2 cup

Lahori salt      as per taste

M E T H O D

  •  With the help of a sharp knife, poke holes into the beef. Insert a garlic clove into each hole.
  •  In a bowl, mix white vinegar, soya sauce and salt. Marinate the beef slab with it and leave for marination over night.
  •  Now brush the red chilli paste onto the beef and set aside for 2 to 3 hours.
  •  With the help of a string, tie the marinated beef to give it a round shape.
  •  Steam in a steamer for an hour.
  •  In a separate bowl, mix butter and black pepper and rub over the cooked beef.
  •  Bake in a pre-heated oven till the beef turns golden brown in colour.
  •  Hunter beef is ready to be served.
