This week You! takes a look at the stylish interior of a home furnishing store in Karachi....

Decking up any space needs a lot of effort and of course aesthetics play an important part as well. You can fill out every inch of your house - from accessories, furniture to wall units, and can even customize wall decor. But one can’t deny the fact that shopping for interior decor is a difficult task. However, with so many home stores opening up all around the country, life has become easy as such stores provide a one-stop solution for those who do not want to hire a professional interior designer for decorating their place. When it comes to interior design or home decor stores, it is important that the interior of the place must have an eye-catching space filled with attention-grabbing design and display elements. This is difficult to achieve since home decor stores have numerous styles of products available. This week You! takes a look at the striking interior of LifeWares store at Dolmen Mall, Clifton, Karachi , which is a sub-brand of one of our leading furniture brands Interwood. Recently, the brand has also launched their Catalogue 2017 that is not only designed to give customers and homemakers complete guidance on the latest products, but it is aimed to educate and broaden the creative potential of people looking to re-decorate, renovate or refurnish their homes.

It’s a home furnishing store where everyone can find something within their budgets. They offer bed room sets, dining room sets, lounge sets (sofas, TV units, shelves, centre and side tables), laminate flooring, home accessories (lamps, rugs, paintings, wall clocks, cushions, runners etc) and kid’s room furniture.

The interior of the home furnishing store has been designed by Mr. Ahsan Najmi of YOCA which has a very clean and minimalistic industrial feel to it. Colours chosen for the interiors are primarily white with brick walls, light coloured flooring and rafter ceiling look. “Basically the idea was to add colours through our products and soft furnishings. Consumer behaviour, brand philosophy and of course, how our product will fit the space effectively, were some of the factors that were kept in mind while doing up the space,” shares Amna Akbar, Brand Manager, Interwood.

For the flooring, both laminate floor and tiles have been used and as far as the main element of design is concerned, i.e. lighting, soft yellow lights have been chosen for the entire space so as to enhance the look and feel of the products that are on display.

Regarding the concept of this store, Amna says, “The idea was to separate the home furnishing category from the brand’s umbrella and create an entity of its own. And we chose the name LifeWares because it relates to our philosophy of how we want people to view our products, which is full of life and colours.”

About what sets the store apart from others, Amna states, “We are not just selling a product to our customers, but an entire concept with great visual appeal. And the best part is that 70 per cent of the products are locally made in our factory, which is situated in Lahore, and remaining 30 per cent are imported from various countries.”

What makes the interior eye-catching is the display of each corner - it is separated in a way that it seems like you have entered a particular room. “We believe that every product has a story. Every corner of our store is displayed to ensure the most effective use of space and that can appear visually attractive. Thanks to our visual merchandisers who understood the product story and displayed it accordingly,” informs Akbar.

The store bears the look of a home store magazine and is definitely a place to check out because of its inspiring interior and of course the amazing range of furnishings that they offer.
