There was a time when we used to go to small shops to purchase groceries. But then things changed and supermarkets/superstores like Agha’s, Motta’s, Naheed supermarket, etc. took over the simple, ‘kiryana’ or ‘parchoon ki dukan’. Of course it has made our lives much easier as one can find every item under one roof. Another trend that has emerged is superstores launching in malls. This is the perfect solution, as one can shop for clothes, accessories etc and go grocery shopping in the same mall as well. Confused? Well, recently Alpha supermarket has been launched at Ocean Mall, Clifton, Karachi. 

The supermarket offers high end imported products along with locally manufactured products. It provides a secure and safe environment and free valet parking. The highlight however, is the wheel chair friendly facility that they offer. All these facilities enable the customers to have a great shopping experience. Also, they have the bakery section, a large variety of fresh halal meat, fresh and frozen sea food and incredible items ranging from a variety of succulent steaks, duck breast, turkey breast and much more.  

Besides food items the store aims to provide a one stop convenience through the provision of electronics, luggage, leather handbags, hunting equipment, a pharmacy, a broad range of beauty products, tableware departments, scented candles, crockery, glassware etc.  

Now coming to the launch! The event, organised by Tehmina Khalid of Take II, was attended by guests from the corporate sector, media, consulates, ministries and other walks of life.
