As a student, I want to respect my teachers, but how can I do that when they scream and berate in the online sessions?

A serious issue

Dear Ed,

Schools are closed again! How can students concentrate on their studies in such uncertain conditions? I don’t mean to criticise my teachers but they simply are not competent enough to give lessons online. Some of them are so clueless that my classmates trick them easily and even play pranks on them, so teachers need to up their game too.

As a student, I want to respect my teachers, but how can I do that when they scream and berate in the online sessions? I suggest that teachers should be trained first and then let loose on students for both our sake and theirs.

Provincial governments should provide training and certify teachers deemed capable of conducting online classes.

Feedback Hi Ed,

The mag is going great. I love the ‘Quiz Whiz’ section, and also the brilliant art works on the back cover. I like the new story by Iqra Asad, ‘The Eid Engagement and Other Weddings’. It is fun and also has a message. Most parents don’t givechoice to their daughters when it comes to things like career option and weddings.

Keep up the good work!

Hey Ed,

I have been missing the original art work that you have discontinued. Since past few issues, it has been pictures only. While I found the pictures interesting, I can’t say that they are better than the original works of our own talented youth.

Hi Ed,

It was heartening to see in the issue of 20th November that a person, Professor Khalid Akbar, from my village wrote a thought provoking article. I completely concur with him about the plight of the education in our dear homeland. I relish all of his suggestions to solve the problem. All parts of the magazine including recipes are commendable. Us is doing great.

Reflection

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:

The Prophet said, "The rewards (of deeds) are according to the intention, and everybody will get the reward for what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for Allah's and His Apostle's sake, his emigration was for Allah and His Apostle; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits, or to marry a woman, then his emigration was for the thing for what he emigrated for."
