Hello Editor,

I really enjoyed reading Hackschool Project after such a long time. Just wanted to ask how we can read the previous episodes of Hackshool Project.

Hi Ed,

Read the piece on polymer art (Oct 12) and got confused when Tooba Ishaq recommended using china clay instead of polymer clay and that it “works just fine”.

China clay is totally different clay and it doesn’t work like polymer. You need special machines to create things with china clay and it’s used for making sanitary wares, tiles, and cutlery items. Plus, you need to prepare special glaze that has to be poured on the finished craft.

It would have been great if Tooba had told us more about the clay she uses for making crafts.

Salam Ed,

I love reading Us magazine. My favourite section is The Green Room. But, I think it’s not enough; you should have more stuff related to entertainment. It’s been a long time since I read a movie review in the magazine!

Query

Dear Ed,

I write poems in my leisure time. Where do I send them to get published in Us magazine?

Farah, Islamabad

Hi Farah, you can send them to uspoetscorner@gmail.com

Hello Us team,

I’ve only recently come across this magazine when a classfellow shared his published poem online. It’s great that you have a Facebook page where I can access previous issues as well; it’s what I’ve been doing these past few days.

I wanted to applaud your efforts to highlight education matters in your on-campus issues. Besides, now that I know there’s a magazine that caters youth specifically in Pakistan, I know where to send my stories next! :)

Reflection

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A)

A man demanded his debts from Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W) in such a rude manner that the companions of the Prophet intended to harm him, but the Prophet said, “Leave him, no doubt, for he (the creditor) has the right to demand it (harshly). Buy a camel and give it to him.” They said, “The camel that is available is older than the camel he demands.” The Prophet said, “Buy it and give it to him, for the best among you are those who repay their debts handsomely.”
