The art work on back page is usually very good but what I find discouraging is that most letters published in Us are about stories and articles. The talented artists who are published also deserve accolades.

I have been following Us for quite some time now, and I usually enjoy it. I have been missing ‘My Teenage Years’ for a while now. Have you run out of celebs? In the issue of 26 Jan, I loved Confessions of a night owl by SG.

Entertainment entanglement quiz was superb! It was the first quiz that I liked in Us, and I am sure the other readers are also grateful for something new, light and refreshing. I hope the writer can do a quiz on old Pakistani songs and drama series, too. And another one exclusively on Pakistani stars. Why not a sports quiz, too? Like I am sure Nabeel Naqvi or Usama Rasheed will do a great job! Just one suggestion: give it more space so we can have good pictures also. I wish you would do something about the size, Ed! These pieces would look so much more appealing if Us could be made bigger.

‘Hackschool Project’ is doing great and every episode has something with which we can relate to as students, as siblings. I am a great fan of Iqra Asad’s! My only problem is that we have to wait for a whole month for the next episode. Can you at least make it bimonthly, please? You know, that way we will be able to enjoy more, and will not have to remember what happened in the previous instalment, as one month can be a long time. And, why have you suspended TGR again? You know we are always craving for celeb’s interviews, and MTY should be a part of the mag every week.

There is something wrong with our education system
I want to highlight a serious issue: the rise of extremism and violence among students. We all have read about students using violence/killing? on principal of the an educational institution for marking him absent because he had gone to attend a dharna. I think there is something seriously wrong with our educational system and the ministry of education should do something about it. In addition, parents should also instil moral values in children, because they are the first institution for a child. Hopefully, if given values, students will show more restraints when reacting to things they don’t like.

I really enjoy reading Us mag. Poets’ Corner is the best. How can I send my poems?

I heard the Prophet (S.A.W) saying, “O people! Give in charity as a time will come upon you when a person will wander about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it, and one (who will be requested to take it) will say, “If you had brought it yesterday, would have taken it, but today I am not in need of it.”
