Dear Editor,
The mighty mango by Memoona Mukhtar, in the issue of 5 July, made my day. I love mangoes and lose my self-control when I see or smell them. I stop thinking of calories and indulge myself as if there is no tomorrow. I, of course, always used to feel a little guilt afterwards, because I tend to gain weight during the mango season, but Memoona has put me out of my misery by enumerating the benefits of mangoes. Thank you, Memoona! And thank you, Us!

Hey Ed,
In the issue of 5 July, I was happy to see ‘Potpourri’! I want to see it more often because I find it very entertaining.
The cover story in this issue, Nurturing human connections by Prof. Dr Samina Riaz, was very thought provoking. However, I would love to see lighter cover stories off and on. ‘Comic Relief’ is the only regular section that I find funny.

Errors in textbooks – a serious issue
Dear Editor,
Without naming any textbooks, I would like to point out that most of the textbooks being used in our schools are full of factual and grammatical errors. As a former teacher, I can say with confidence that it is very difficult to unlearn stuff that is incorrect. Children should not be made to study from books with glaring errors. Let me tell you I am not talking about Sindh Textbooks Board books only; it’s very renowned publishing houses that are printing books with mistakes. The education ministry should take note.
