Dominos recently opened its dine-in at Ittehad and the inauguration, like all events these days, featured a red carpet, hosted by the perky Anoushay Ashraf, with an endless supply of pizza for people who couldn’t resist the carb fest. One saw TV personalities like Hina Dilpazeer walk in and Ayesha Omer inaugurate the outlet by cutting the ribbon.

TV personalities Hina Dilpazeer and Ayesha Omar turned up to support thepizza business, even if we’re pretty sure Ayesha – who’s a healthy food advocate - rarely touches carbs if she can help it!

Dominos Pizza launches its Ittehad dine-in with a carb-fest!

Karachi

Dominos recently opened its dine-in at Ittehad  and the inauguration, like all events these days, featured a red carpet, hosted by the perky Anoushay Ashraf, with an endless supply of pizza for people who couldn’t resist the carb fest. One saw TV personalities like Hina Dilpazeer walk in and Ayesha Omer inaugurate the outlet by cutting the ribbon.

The small, cozy place seats a little less than a 100, and brought to us the signature taste we all love with excellent service, even on such a busy night. I started with an appetizer, Stuffed Cheesy Bread Tex-Mex, which is basically freshly baked, soft bread fingers stuffed with hot chicken chunks topped with a good serving of melted cheese and garlic powder. Needless to say, the appetizer hit right in the bull’s eye – it made me hungry and more excited for flavours to come.

The pizza joint offers a number of crusts to choose from and I decided to order Double Melt since I had never tried it. This crust combines some rich cream cheese goodness between two layers of crunchy thin crust with loads of mozzarella cheese and your favourite toppings. Tex-Mex offers marinated chicken with oregano, a good serving of pizza sauce, crunchy onions and green peppers, hot jalapeno and juicy black olives. It’s hot and spicy and since I love spice, this one was my absolute favourite. The cream cheese in the crust just took the flavour to the next level. Next up was the ‘sweet and simple’ Hawaiian Feast; sweet pineapples, pepperoni and heavy sauce and cheese just transport you to some tropical island far away. All you had to do was take a bite, sit back and close your

eyes, and it would do its job.

A fantastic part of the dine-in experience is that the kitchen has a glass counter through which the customers can easily see the mechanism with which the pizzas are crafted; most entertaining are the bread kneading techniques and the famous crust revolving air throws. The chalkboard menu and comfy sofa sets give a homely café vibe and the décor and lighting is easy on the eyes too. Their huge serving size is just another reason to drop by.

Anoushay Ashraf played host to the evening.

It is hardly a stretch to say that the launch was a massive success. The team reached its 1000-pizza mark just two hours in and rejoiced with a celebratory cheering. This feather finds its way to their cap comes just a few days after Dominos was given an A on health inspection from Punjab authorities. If the Ittehad branch is not on your list of eateries to visit next, add it right away!
