These stars give us major style inspiration on how to wear white the right way.

There’s nothing more chic than a monochromatic outfit. As we celebrate Eid and the spirit of Independence Day today, we’re thinking of ways of making the right style statement. And nothing beats the timeless, all-white ensemble that you can never go wrong with, especially in the summertime. There’s nothing as crisp and clean as white and the best part is, it is quite easy to style.

Here’s our selection of five celebrities who recently caught our eye for wearing the right white.

Mahira Khan

“I would wear white all my life if I could,” says real and reel life superstar Mahira Khan, who is winning hearts with her latest release, Superstar. We have spotted her in white on more than one occasion; be it a simple, straight kurta or a signature peshwas by Zara Shahjahan (as seen here); she looks absolutely stunning each and every time.

You can opt for a similar look; pair your outfit with statement earrings and golden khussas and you are all set to go. As for the makeup, keep it subtle and go for a sleek hairstyle and be a head-turner this Eid.

Ali Rehman Khan

Keeping up with the spirit of Independence Day, lead actor of Heer Maan Ja that released two days back (August 12), Ali Rehman Khan looks super handsome in a straight white kurta and pajama paired with an aqua green waist coat. The actor has opted for brown loafers to complete his look but if you want to go all desi, you can wear brown sandals, khussas or Peshawari chappals too.

Maya Ali

Not too keen on sporting a plain white outfit? Take some inspiration from actress Maya Ali, who stars in the recently released, Parey Hut Love alongside Sheheryar Munawar. Seen here wearing a flowy white kalidaar outfit by designer Fahad Hussayn, Maya Ali looks gorgeous. Pastel hues have been incorporated in the attire via embellishment and a printed dupatta, which definitely accentuates the white. Paired with traditional jhumkas this look is anything but basic.

Bilal Ashraf

We mostly saw Bilal Ashraf, lead actor of Superstar, sporting a very comfy and casual look during the promotions of his film. Even though the actor looks awesome in whatever he wears, Bilal opted for ethnic wear for the Karachi premiere of the film. He went for an all white kurta pajama and waist coat. The only hints of colour were the gold buttons and black and white pocket handkerchief.

Hareem Farooq

Are you bored of your all-white shalwar kameez? Then take a cue from Hareem Farooq, co-producer and lead actress of Heer Maan Ja that is running in cinemas nationwide. Hareem certainly seems to pull off this contemporary take on the shalwar kameez by Boheme by Kanwal. She’s paired the classic white kurta with blue trousers; matching khussas complement the look and add a pop of colour to the intricately embroidered white shirt and dupatta. This look definitely works for us - it’s chic, edgy and summer appropriate. However, if you are not a khussa lover you can also go for blue kolhapuris to complete your look.
