Trailer for Avengers: Endgame unveiled

There’s a scene in Avengers: Infinity War when Tony Stark’s Iron Man, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man and Dr. Stephen Strange, aka Dr. Strange (a master of the mystic arts), are stranded in space and Dr. Strange tells Iron Man, “we’re in the endgame now.” If Thanos is successful in his mission, what did Strange really mean by ‘endgame’?

That word ‘endgame’ it seems has greater value. It is not only the title of the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s combined Avengers 4 but is actually a plan. While the trailer for Endgame opens with Tony Stark stranded in space sending a recording to Pepper Potts, it also opens up a lot of possibilities.

At the Avengers headquarters, Black Widow tells Steve Rogers/Captain America that the villainous Thanos has wiped off half of all living creatures. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) finally makes an appearance looking like a ninja (his family is dead, too) but the narration from Captain America, who says: “This is the fight of our lives,” means he knows something we don’t.

According to comic book nerds across the interwebs, the April 2019 release is about bringing back the original Avengers together and that time travel will play a significant role in undoing the genocide of Thanos.
