Famous stand-up comedian and actor, Bill Cosby is likely to face up to 30 years of imprisonment on three counts of sexual harassment, serving up to 10 years for each count.

While 60 women have accused the 81-year old comedian for sexual misconduct, Andrea Constand’s case from 2004 is the one as a result of which he might find himself behind bars.

Andrea Constand was drugged and sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby at his home in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He was convicted for the crime and has been under house arrest since the past five months, according to latest reports.

However, Cosby has denied all such allegations till now, suggesting that all sexual encounters were in fact, consensual. His attorney is continually trying that he faces minimum to no jail time because of his frail health, old age and visual impairment. But prosecutors are adamant to present The Cosby Show star as a violent, sexual predator, who is a threat to the community. The verdict of this case marks a milestone for the ‘#MeToo’ movement.

Representing women who have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct in the past, Lawyer Gloria Allred stated outside the courtroom, “Women are finally believed, not just in a hashtag ‘#MeToo’ but also in the court of law. After all that has been said and done, we are grateful that women were finally believed and we thank the jury for that.”

The final verdict of the two-day long trial will come out today and that will determine the future for Bill Cosby.
