With three big banner Pakistani films scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Azha nearly 10 days away, promotional activities are going on in full swing, both in Pakistan and beyond.
While the cast of JPNA2 including Humayun Saeed, Kubra Khan, Fahad Mustafa, Mawra Hocane and others were busy promoting their film in Toronto, New York, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Dubai this past week, Parwaaz Hai Junoon stars including Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir, Hania Amir and Shaz Khan began the international spell of promotions post Hum Awards in Toronto. The third film to release alongside these two is social satire Load Wedding and the cast is currently in Lahore for its promotions.
The lead actress of the film, Mehwish Hayat posted a picture featuring her and director-producer duo Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza from the airport. “Hello Lahore! Load Wedding’s Punjab tour begins,” she captioned the picture. Fahad Mustafa joined them in the proceedings and their first stop was Emporium Mall on Saturday. “We will head to Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Islamabad after Lahore,” Mehwish told Instep.
Prior to this, the film’s cast and crew including lead actors Mehwish and Fahad as well as Nabeel and Fizza promoted the film in Karachi where they visited malls including Lucky One Mall and Ocean Mall.
Earlier on, Fahad and Mehwish spoke with journalists and bloggers at a press junket held last month, followed by the launch of Coca-Cola Pakistan Wedding Show that was attended by the film’s lead pair and where they spoke about how people perceive weddings in Pakistan.
A collaboration of Filmwala Pictures and Geo Films, Load Wedding highlights society’s obsession with marriage, particularly of daughters. The film will be distributed internationally under Zee Studios International banner while advance booking has already begun in Pakistan.
