While it was only a few months back that we heard that Harvey Weinstein’s story was being turned into a movie, reportedly another movie, based on the sexual harassment scandal at Fox News network, is in the works.

According to Variety, the 51-year-old Australian actor, Nicole Kidman is in talks to play former Fox News anchor in a yet-to-be-titled Annapurna film about the women who brought down Fox News titan Roger Ailes.

Kidman is slated to play the part of Gretchen Carlson, who blew the whistle on the company’s culture of sexism and harassment when she and more than two dozen other women accused chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, who passed away in 2017, of sexual harassment. Charlize Theron, who is also a co-producer, will play Megyn Kelly, another former Fox News anchor who said in a statement that she experienced “explicit quid-pro-quo sexual harassment” at the hands of her former boss, Ailes.

Apart from Theron and Kidman, “Margot Robbie will be playing an associate producer by the name of Kayla Pospisil, who is a fictional character,” revealed The Hollywood Reporter.

The former Fox News anchor, Gretchen Carlson, played a key role in this narrative as she was the first woman to file a sexual harassment law-suit against Ailes after she was fired.

The film will be written by The Big Short screenwriter Charles Randolph and directed by Jay Roach, who picked up four Emmys for his television films Recount and Game Change and is best known for the Austin Powers films.
