Singer turned actor Junaid Khan, who is currently appearing in various TV projects including Silsilay, Aadat and Ishq Tamasha, is all geared up for his upcoming play Lava.
While we have always seen Junaid essay serious and mature characters, the actor shared that this will be different from what he has done in the past. “I have already started shooting for the play opposite Sonia Mishal, who is also my co-star in the ongoing play Khasara,” Junaid Khan told Instep.
As far as his character is concerned, the singer-actor shared, “In Lava, I play the part of Ahad, who is a hyper, emotional and vocal guy. He is very loud and expressive.”
He added, “My character is in love with his cousin, which is essayed by Sonia Mishal. The plot revolves around these two characters. However, things are not that simple and the more I try to express my love and get close to her, the more she avoids me mainly due to family issues.”
Besides Junaid and Sonia, Asad Siddiqui will also be seen in the upcoming project. “Asad will play a negative character in the drama serial. But you will have to wait and watch to see how the story unfolds,” said Junaid.
With a few plays to his credit, Junaid will soon be seen in a couple of other plays along with a song release with Call in the near future.
