After starring in some hit TV plays including Rasm e Duniya, Qurban and O’Rangreza, Bilal Abbas Khan is gearing up for another drama serial called Balah. Featuring opposite Ushna Shah, the upcoming play explores multiple themes, according to the actor.
“There are a lot of things happening in the story; one of them has obsession involved,” Bilal told Instep, refraining from revealing too much at the moment.
Speaking of his character, Taimoor, in the project, Bilal shared, “My character is very serious, he is very responsible, he is the man of the house and hence he is very authoritative. It is very different from anything I’ve played before.”
With very little time in the industry, the actor has proven his mettle and has become very popular among masses. He made his big screen debut with Rafay Rashdi’s Thora Jee Le; though the film failed to make a mark, Bilal stood out in the project and it paved the way for more opportunities for the actor.
Working with Ushna Shah for the first time, the actor has begun shooting for the project. Produced under the banner of Big Bang Production and directed by Badar Mehmood, the play is expected to go on air later this year. Aside from Bilal and Ushna, Balah also stars industry veterans Samina Peerzada, Sajid Hassan and Saba Hamid aside from other artists.
