Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had his fanboy moment when he met renowned director Christopher Nolan, who was in Mumbai, India for a three-day seminar titled ‘Reframing the Future of Film’ along with visual artiste Tacita Dean.
SRK took to Twitter to share his experience about meeting the ace director and posted his picture with Nolan. “My Fanboy moment.” SRK added, “Inspiring to hear Mr. Nolan and Ms Tacita Dean talk of the virtues of celluloid as an artist’s medium. Thanks @shividungarpur for having me over.”
Nolan and Dean were part of a round table conversation, alongside iconic Indian film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Kamal Haasan, Shah Rukh Khan, Santosh Sivan, Shyam Benegal, Anurag Kashyap and Farhan Akhtar.
Well-known for his experimental and blockbuster films like Interstellar, Dunkirk, Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy, Nolan drew attention on how the celluloid medium can co-exist with the digital mode. He also spoke about preserving photo chemical film in the digital age at the seminar.
Two of Nolan’s films - Oscar-nominated Dunkirk and Interstellar – were also screened at ‘Reframing the Future of Film’. The Hollywood director last visited India back in 2011 for his movie, The Dark Knight Rises.
Currently, SRK is busy shooting for his upcoming film, Zero, which is helmed by Anand L. Rai and stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
