When asked whether Kangana will be invited to the show as a celebrity judge, Johar told news agency PTI, “I am sure when Star Plus (the channel which will air the show) invites her we will be happy to have her.” He continued, “Our heart is big, our house is open to all. We will happily, lovingly and respectfully welcome her on the show.” Regarding the show, Johar stated, “Our jobas a director is to find talent and with this show we are just going to continue doing that. Our aim is to provide new talent to the industry.”
In the upcoming show Karan Johar, along with filmmaker Rohit Shetty, will judge 20 contestants. The two contestants who win the show will be given an opportunity to work with ace filmmakers. Actress Priyanka Chopra will be the first celebrity guest to appear on India’s Next Superstar. As seen in the promos, Chopra claims that it will provide the right platform for many talented and budding artists. India’s Next Superstar is all set to go on air from January 13. Coming back to Kangana Ranaut, 2017 was the year of controversies for her. However, on the work front she was last seen in Simran and will soon be appearing in Manikarnika in which she essays the character of Rani of Jhansi.
