Shuja Haider announces Soundscape

Singer-songwriter and music producer Shuja Haider is having a busy year. He participated in the recently concluded tenth season of Coke Studio as music director and is an integral part of National Ka Pakistan OST for its current season. Having made contributions to the soundtrack of the upcoming Shoaib Mansoor film, Verna as well as the Saba Qamar-led Baaghi, Haider has his eye on the prize, which is just another way of saying that more music activity is enroute.

Having made contributions to the soundtrack of the upcoming Shoaib Mansoor film, Verna as well as the Saba Qamar-led Baaghi, Haider has his eye on the prize, which is just another way of saying that more music activity is enroute.

One case in point is Soundscape, a live music series that is the brainchild of Haider. According to the artist, it will be Pakistan’s first complete interactive live music series and will feature the best of musicians. Soundscape will also introduce for the first time, The Shuja Haider ensemble. Scheduled to take place in January of next year, it will be curated and produced by Shuja Haider and will be held in multiple cities with the mission to reach as many people as possible.

According to a press statement, the conceptual music project is focused on the quality of live sound and musical arrangement with emphasis on well-rehearsed acts and collaborations. Soundscape will also showcase various musical traditions including eastern, western, pop and other genres.
