Two of our favourite celebrity activists were busy marching outside the Trump Tower this week. The audience from filmmaker Michael Moore’s Broadway debut, The Terms of My Surrender, was invited to a post-performance protest outside the Trump Tower in New York City. The protest was hosted and co-hosted by Michael Moore and Mark Ruffalo (who essays the Hulk in Marvel’s Avenger series and the upcoming Thor).

“It’s a little field trip!” shouted Ruffalo, encouraging the audience to march to the tower with him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ruffalo informed the attendees of Moore’s one-man show that 200 of them would be driven a few blocks uptown on double-decker buses to Trump Tower, where US President Donald Trump is staying during his brief visit.

“We’re here today to commemorate a life of an American that was killed by a Nazi on American soil,” announced Ruffalo. The protest also doubled as a candlelight vigil for Charlottesville victim, Heather Heyert. “Let’s say her name so Donald Trump can hear what’s happened here — he’s allowed these people, he’s allowed fascism, he’s allowed the KK, he’s allowed Nazis to show their ugly face, and we’re here to remind him there’s a cost for that. Americans have died because of that. Say her name: Heather Heyer!”

Actors Olivia Wilde and Zoe Kazan also joined in the protest where Wilde could be heard leading a chant: “Stand up for justice! Stand up for America! Trump is not a legitimate president! Trump is not America!”
