Ishq is said to be an Anglo-Sufi musical adapted from the folk tale of Heer Ranjha, and will primarily be in English language but will also include some Punjabi tunes.

More surprisingly, the actors featured in the project are supposed to sing and dance in addition to acting. It is the first Pakistani musical to be performed in London.

Aside from Ishq, Mirza is currently essaying a pivotal role in Bilqees Urf Bitto as well as a mini television series with wife Sarwat Gilani. Titled Do Dilon Ki Dharkan, the limited series is a romantic comedy based on three episodes and will go on air this weekend.
