It’s the beginning of a manic, style fuelled month, which kicks off with Hum TV’s Bridal Couture Week, scheduled to begin in Karachi tomorrow. The event, as always is expected to amalgamate a popular blend of film and TV stars with a combination of established and upcoming designers. BCW has been consistent in holding two events a year since 2010 and established a reputation for being a great platform for generating business (as it gets a lot of visibility on the Hum Network) even if the platform is not too discerning in quality control.
There are several heavy weights in the lineup this year; the event begins with menswear designer Amir Adnan, who stole headlines with his 16-celebrity show last season. Sonya Battla will be showcasing the grand finale on Sunday, April 2. In between there are familiar and reputed names such as Fahad Hussayn, Asifa & Nabeel, Arsalan Iqbal, Emraan Rajput, HSY, Nickie Nina and Saadia Mirza.
The show will be directed by ex- supermodel Vaneeza Ahmed.
