With a career that spans almost three decades, Shaan Shahid is one of the biggest film stars that we have in Pakistan. He remained an integral part of cinema in its early days and continues to mesmerize fans post revival as well. His upcoming projects include Hasan Waqas Rana’s long delayed war saga Yalghaar, remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth titled Arth 2 and action thriller Zarrar. While Yalghaar and Arth 2 are sure to come out this year, Zarrar is still in the production phase.
“Currently we’re shooting the second spell of Zarrar in Lahore,” Shaan’s manager told Instep in a telephonic conversation. “This spell will be shot in Lahore, Islamabad and Northern areas and it will run till April 10. The final spell that mainly comprises action sequences will be shot in Europe, later this year.”
While he refrained from revealing the film’s plot, he informed us that Zarrar is an action romance drama which has been written and directed by Shaan himself who is also playing the lead role. Other actors in the film include Kiran Malik, Nadeem Baig, Nayyar Ejaz and newbie Adnan Butt, who’ll be playing a villain in the film.
As far as Shaan’s other projects are concerned, the much anticipated Yalghaar will see him facing off Humayun Saeed who plays the antagonist in the film while Arth 2 stars Mohib Mirza and Humaima Malick in pivotal roles.
