Fans and artists around the world including Pakistan have been in mourning ever since news of Chuck Berry’s death broke out this past Saturday. The legendary musician was considered the pioneer of rock ‘n’ roll music and delivered hits such as ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and ‘Roll Over Beethoven.’

Music icons from all over the world have taken to social media and reacted to his death in their own ways.  Bruce Springsteen shared his sentiments on Twitter: “Chuck Berry was rock’s greatest practitioner, guitarist, and the greatest pure rock ‘n’ roll writer who ever lived.” Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys tweeted that Berry was “a big inspiration” while Rolling Stones front-man Mick Jagger thanked Berry “for all the inspirational music he gave to us.”

“Chuck, you were amazing, and your music is engraved inside us forever,” said Jagger.

While Berry’s music will live forever, there’s something else in the pipeline that fans can look forward to. The 90-year-old musician was all set to release an album that he had been working on for some time and had announced last year in October.

According to CBC, Berry’s friend Joe Edwards shared that he had heard the new album and called it “sensational.” The first single off the new album will be released in the next few weeks.
