Since the successful debut of Benedict Cumberbatch as mystical superhero Doctor Strange in the marvel universe, fans have been wondering what it means for the star-studded upcoming Avengers sequel, Infinity War. Would Strange replace RBJ’s Tony Stark/Iron Man? Turns out, not yet.

RBJ, who is reprising the role of Tony Stark/Iron Main in the upcoming Spiderman reboot, Spider-Man: Homecoming has confirmed the news of his return when he emerged onstage at the 4th Annual Make-a-Wish Wishing Well Gala where he was being honoured with the Shining Star Award.

“We have a start date! That’s, you know, when you start shooting,” said RBJ about Avengers: Infinity War. “So I have yet to be released from my Marvel contract! You heard it here first!”

Speaking about Homecoming in which the titular role is being played by one Tom Holland, RBJ stated: “It’s a 21st century take on it. I am really excited at the way it’s being re-imagined.”

RBJ, who is also in talks for starring in the third Sherlock Holmes film, also spoke passionately about Iron Man at the annual gala.

“Honestly I never expected Tony Stark to define my purpose, or that ‘Iron Man’ would be much more than just a fun creative paycheck that kept doubling every 10 minutes for a decade.”

Several reports also suggest that RBJ has signed on to star in the upcoming Avengers sequel after negotiating on a salary of 100 million dollars.
