While we see there’s a lot going on in the fifth season of Koffee with Karan ever since the show went on air, Karan Johar feels that this time the celebs have become extra cautious in opening up on the show. He is of the view that they fear being over-analyzed on the basis of what they say.

Talking to the press at the launch of upcoming reality singing show, Dil Hai Hindustani (in which he will appear as a judge alongside Shalmali Kholgade, Shekhar Ravjiani and rapper Badshah), Johar shared, “Celebrities are speaking much lesser this season because they are so aware that there is some ‘.com’ sitting on their heads, which is literally uploading and hanging on to every word they say. All of them are coming guarded this time because everything they say becomes a headline, which may be great for the show but not always great for them.”

The filmmaker also asserted that Koffee with Karan is a fun, casual watch and everything said on the show should not be taken seriously. He said, “Not every word should be whacked or over-analyzed. At times people interpret things seriously or in a different way but it shouldn’t be seen that way. I don’t think anyone sitting on the couch means to offend anyone.”

The upcoming show of the season will feature superstar Salman Khan and his brothers who will join K. Jo on the 100th episode as he celebrates ‘Koffee Century’ this weekend.
