Having signed Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi, the actor will be seen romancing Alia Bhatt alongside three other actors in the much-talked about film. But it’s his project with producer Karan Johar that is gaining traction online. The film in question, Ok Jaanu, is a look at live-in relationships and will see Kapoor paired opposite Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Shaad Ali, the film will also feature a cameo appearance from Shah Rukh Khan who also made a cameo in Shaad Ali’s Saathiya. The film is an official remake of 2015 Tamil hit OK Kanmani, which was directed by Mani Ratnam.
Of course there is the possibility of getting stereotyped but Kapoor has awareness. Speaking about his back-to-back romantic roles, the actor said in January: “I have done three romantic films, so I think I can call myself that for now. This hasn’t been my plan. They’ve all been different from each other — in the same genre, but different type of films. But I would love to do different projects but people have to come to me with that. I rarely get excited by too many scripts.”
