The trailer of upcoming movie “Wazir” has been released with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Farhan Akhtar starring in the much awaited Bollywood flick.
“I am happy that I got a lot of time to spend with Amitabh Bachchan,” said Akhtar speaking about the camaraderie they shared in the past.
“We all are big fans of him and his movies are something we grew up on.”
The actor was speaking on the sidelines of the trailer launch of “Wazir”.
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays the villain, said he was nervous when he was approached for the character by the film’s producer, Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
The movie is apparently a tale of betrayal and the fight for survival by the looks of the trailer and two earlier released teasers.
Akhtar plays Danish Ali – an anti-terrorism squad officer, while Bachchan essays the role of an ailing, wheelchair-bound grandmaster Pandit Omkar Nath Dhar.
Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen in key roles in the film, and John Abraham will make a guest appearance.
The story line of the movie is written by Abhijat Joshi, who has penned films like “PK”, “3 Idiots”.
The trailer launch of Wazir saw the cast in attendance. Farhan tweeted a photo from the event:
Amitabh Bachchan also took to Twitter to inform his followers that the Wazir trailer was ‘out now’:
