LONDON: A group of men assaulted a Muslim worshipper with 'batten and hammer' after shouting Islamophobic abuse outside an east London mosque.
The brutal act of extremism occurred hours after 49 innocent Muslim worshippers were murdered in an attack on two mosques in New Zealand.
UK media, citing eyewitnesses, reported that a group of three men shouted Islamophobic abuse as drove past the place of worship on Cannon Street Road.
According to report, the attackers called the worshipers, attending Friday prayers, “terrorists”.
