Prime Minister Imam Khan on the occasion of International Women’s Day paid tribute to Fatima Jinnah and avowed to build a secure environment for the country’s women.
The premier turned to Twitter to commemorate women on the occasion by paying accolades to a strong female figure from Pakistan’s history –Fatima Jinnah while ensuring a safe and enabling space for the women of Pakistan.
“On Women's Day, we pay tribute to Fatima Jinnah who stood steadfastly beside the Quaid in his struggle for Pakistan. We reaffirm our commitment to ensuring women a secure & enabling environment to play their rightful role in our nation's development,” he tweeted.
Other prominent leaders also expressed their thoughts on the occasion wishing strength and power to the country’s women.
